                                                                        Received by last mail yours of 15th ult. as I have forwarded it to Harris and Ann cannot answer it in detail. I was at Anns yesterday to Breakfast and dinner. They are in their new house, though it is not finished are all well and in good spirits Ann is very much healthier than in Placerville and Harris looks better than when he first came down. business is very good there. Wm Hale leaves here by the next Steamer after this 5th Dec. for Ohio and Iowa. He expects to be gone from here about ninety days. will certainly visit you though may not stay long he is not decided yet what his route will be exactly. I shall write you by next mail. Enclosed find Tallant & Wildes Draft on N. York. (you should it at a premium) for Fifty Dollars will send you fifty more as you wish. hope you are all well. Harris was writing you yesterday so you ought to have a Letter from him with this. having been gone yesterday I am very busy to day and hope you will excuse the haste which I write. You inquired in your last of the whereabouts of somebody I do not know who now or of their whereabouts do not ever apologize for writing such minutia (as you say) I want to know all about every thing will try and give you a better letter by next mail. write often Love to all

I think such a Letter as above only an aggravation and would not send it but to send the Draft.
