| ICMM 2000 will be held in San Antonio, Texas, the Alamo City. It is currently the 10th largest city in the United States and the third largest city in Texas. San Antonio and nearby neighbors share a rich Spanish history and warm lifestyles, along with a touch of German, Alsatian and other cultures that enrich the area and its People. Working sessions, meals and accommodations will take place in the same hotel. The Hotel is located in the historic center of San Antonio, one block from the Paseo del Rio (River Walk) and 8 miles from the San Antonio International Airport.
San Antonio is a charming city with a rich (and colorful history that offers a unique blend of cultures stemming from Spanish-Mexican and European heritages. The venue for the meeting is the century-old Camberley Gunter Hotel which is located in downtown San Antonio and within easy walking distance of the famous River Walk, the Alamo, El Mercado (the Mexican Market), the historic La Villita District and the Spanish Governors Palace. One afternoon of the meeting has been set aside for sight-seeing and excursions around the city, so it will be possible to enjoy both the science and the ambiance of San Antonio. |
