Clark laboratory achieves 50 tesla!!
The Clark University pulsed magnetic field laboratory was built primarily to
study the transport properties and magnetic properties of lower dimensional organic conductors and superconductors at high
magnetic fields. Recently we reached our goal of producing a 50 tesla pulsed magnetic field with a 11 ms risetime. Our
plans are to continue our studies of TMTSF, BEDT, BETS, and BEDO-based
materials.
Other materials studied in our pulsed magnetic fields include molecular
magnets created and studied at Clark University by the Landee-Turnbull
collaboration.
