          Granville, O.   Dear Father.   Encl^d please find Donahoe Ralston & Co Dft on New York N^o 3486 – for One Thousand & fifty Dollars – $1000 – is for John to pay on the Farm and Fifty Dollars I Received from Harris to send to Harry. so I bought it in one Draft as a Convenience & Saving and you can send it to him. I came from Pacheco yesterday all well except Harris has a slight billious attack not much sick was better last night when I left I shall write you in a day or two & Enclose second of Exchange. when I will write you again how he is. I send this to you for fear John may have enlisted during the late excitement in Ohio. my best Love to all. let me know if you want anything. Yours truly
