Dear Mother
Enclosed please find Mess Tallant & Wildes Draft at sight on
New York, for Fifty Dolls as promised in my last. if you have any use
for more money please advise me as you Know I am always happy to supply
any of your wants in my power. None of us received a Letter from home
by last mail. Since writing you have been up and spent 3 or 4 days at
Pacheco found all well except Guy. he had several rather mild Fits
probably caused by some derangement of his system and may be too free
use of Fruit They think a course of medicine will relieve him. do not
feel uneasy about him as he is running about at play. I do not
apprehend any very serious results. The Boys are very busy and our new
Town looks very prosperous Ann is quite healthy, and in very good
spirits. I am going to Placerville next week expect to be gone about 10
days. have not been there since last March. There are very few people
returning from Frazer River now they no doubt have very good mines. Our
Election has just passed as yet we have not full returns but of course
the State has gone Democratic. This City Still keep up the peoples
Ticket (Vigilance Committee) which is entirely Successful. must put you
of with a Short Letter this time as I write so often. My Love to all
and hope to hear from you often
As ever Yours
